The Village Solar Project

Bringing Clean, Reliable, Renewable Electricity to Villages in India

The VSP

Welcome to the official website of The Village Solar Project, or VSP as we like to call it (millennials love to abbreviate). We have created this webpage to provide updates regarding our project to which you all so graciously donated. Previously known as the Village Solar Lantern Project, the VSP has grown, evolved, and transformed. Now, the goal of the VSP is to install a micro-grid that will provide long-term clean, reliable, and renewable energy to villagers who currently have no consistent electricity or quality light sources. This project would not be possible without the generous financial contributions and nuggets of solar wisdom and advice we have received from people all across the globe. Furthermore, the incredible Pardada Pardadi Educational Society (PPES) has provided invaluable support and resources as we work together to electrify rural villages. We will be publishing regular blog posts to document the process and keep you, our faithful readers, updated on the VSP’s progress. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and solar panels won’t be installed in rural India overnight, so sit back, relax, and enjoy the many blog posts to come.
